Warmongering Islamophobia in the US, September 11-18, 2016, CAIR Reports

September 19, 2016

Editorial Note:

Islamphobia (exaggerated and baseless fear of Muslims) has been perpetrated and perpetuated to justify the continuous US wars and invasions of the Muslim World since 1990, in order for the war industry beneficiaries to justify the enormous and unprecedented US national debt, which has reached more than $19 trillion, as a result of the permanent-war military spending.

Tens of thousands of Americans are killed by non-Muslim other Americans every year, in gun violence. However, Islamophobes ignore that fact and focus on an incident or two perpetrated by Muslims in an entire year.

For example, in 2015, there were 53,228 shooting incidents, resulting in the killing of 13,415 Americans. Of these, there were only two incidents perpetrated by Muslims and resulting in the killing of 18 Americans.

The Zionist media, like Fox News and CNN, together with the  war industry agents and Zionist-controlled politicians like Trump, kept mentioning these two incidents while totally ignoring the other 53,226 incidents, which resulted in the killing of 13,398 Americans!

The end outcome is that the American people are indeed actual victims of a continuous warmongering campaign, Islamophobia, and a daily holocaust, perpetrated against them by the war industry beneficiaries and their agents in the media and politics.

The Council on American-Islamic Relations on Friday said the incident was one in a series targeting the family, and called for a thorough investigation. "We just want authorities to do their due diligence," she said.
  • CAIR: Anti-Muslim Incidents on the Rise in the US (Video)

The U.S. is experiencing a spike in anti-Muslim crimes and mosques are one of the prime targets, according to civil rights activists within the Muslim American community.

Fifty-five mosques in the U.S. have been targeted so far this year, making 2016 one of the worst years on record for anti-mosque incidents, according to new report by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Muslim advocacy organization. In 2015, there were 79 recorded incidents, the highest number reported in a single year since experts began tracking the data in 2009, according to CAIR. In 2009, 13 mosques reported incidents.

"American Muslims in the U.S. are very worried about their safety, the safety of their families, the safety of their institutions, and they don't feel that they're safe to go out," said Nihad Awad, executive director of CAIR.

"In [American] culture, we're so accustomed to seeing women with barely any clothes on, not women covered up to the point where their faces are covered," he said. "Women have the right to wear whatever they want to wear or not wear whatever they want to wear, and we should preserve their constitutional right to do so, whether we like it or not."

CAIR Calls for Probe of Series of Incidents Targeting Maryland Muslim Family

Family offers $1,000 reward for information leading to arrest and conviction of perpetrators

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 9/16/16) - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation's largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today called on state and federal law enforcement authorities to investigate a series of possibly bias-motivated incidents targeting a Maryland Muslim family.

CAIR says family members felt compelled to leave their home in the Windsor Mill neighborhood of Baltimore County, Md., following a series of incidents involving unidentified persons who entered the home when it was not occupied and scrawled graffiti, including cryptic threats and a reference to the terror group "ISIS," on the walls.

Despite notifying the property landlord and police after each incident, and installing a home security system, the incidents continued.

The family is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to arrest and conviction of the perpetrators.

"We call on state and federal authorities to conduct a swift and thorough investigation of these incidents to determine who is responsible, thereby allowing this family to return home and resume a normal life," said CAIR Maryland Outreach Manager Dr. Zainab Chaudry.

CAIR Report: 2016 on Track to Be One of the Worst Years for Anti-Mosque Incidents

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 9/15/16) - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation's largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, today reported that 2016 is on track to be one of the worst years ever for anti-mosque incidents, with a total of 55 cases recorded as of mid-September. Last year there were a total of 79 recorded anti-mosque cases.

The majority of the 2016 incidents have been violent in tone, characterized by intimidation, physical assault and property damage, destruction or vandalism. The Washington-based civil rights organization attributes the rise in anti-mosque incidents at least in part to Islamophobic rhetoric used by public figures like Donald Trump and others.

A preliminary report on anti-mosque cases so far in 2016 is available at: [NOTE: This is not a final document.]

CAIR Report: Targeting Mosques (January-September 15, 2016)

"This trend of increasing violence targeting the American Muslim community is deeply troubling," said CAIR National Executive Director Nihad Awad. "It is important for presidential candidates and other public figures to unify Americans against hate. Any American should be able to freely practice his or her religion without fear of harm or intimidation."

Awad added, "We are releasing this information as 2016 is now one of the worst years on record for bias incidents targeting mosques."

In the first two weeks of September, three incidents targeting mosques have occurred. The most destructive of these has been in Florida, where a mosque was intentionally set ablaze and a suspect arrested.

CAIR Urges President to Maintain Sanctions on Burma as Aung San Suu Kyi Visits White House

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 9/14/16)  The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation's largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, is calling on President Obama to maintain all current sanctions on the government Burma (Myanmar), originally put in place because of that nation's human rights abuses, until the citizenship rights of members of the Burmese Rohingya Muslim community are restored.

President Obama meets today with Burmese Foreign Minister and State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi during her first visit to the United States.

In a letter sent to the president, CAIR Government Affairs Director Robert McCaw wrote in part:

"As recently reported in the New York Times, about 150,000 Rohingya Muslims are being detained in what are reported as 'Concentration Camps of the 21st Century.' As a result of state sponsored and communal anti-Rohingya violence, displaced Muslims have been forced by the government and mobs into 'refugee' and 'resettlement' camps that they are not free to leave.

"These imprisoned refugees are fed diets of less than 2,000 calories a day and not provided adequate access to healthcare or education. This has led to many Rohingya Muslims starving and suffering from ailments due to malnutrition and hunger.

"In 1984, Rohingya Muslims citizens of the Burmese state had their citizenship revoked without cause. Burmese officials today deny the very existence of Rohingya Muslims as an official recognized ethnicity in Burma. The United Nations today has determined that Rohingya Muslims are one of the most persecuted minorities in the world.

"In your meetings with Minister Suu Kyi, CAIR requests that you raise the issue of Rohingya refugees as well as ask her to lift the ban on aid allowing all international relief organizations to freely operate in the Burmese state of Rakhine. We also ask that you address the plight of the Rohingya in Burma during the September 19 United Nations summit for refugees.

"We recognize with great respect your past work in addressing the need to halt Burma state and communal violence against the very much persecuted Rohingya Muslim minority and trust that you will continue to speak out on this immediate and pressing cause."

CAIR Calls for Hate Crime Probe of New Hampshire Mosque Vandalism
Muslim civil rights group says rocks were thrown through mosque windows with worshipers inside

(BOSTON, MA, 9/11/16) - Massachusetts chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MA) tonight called on state and federal law enforcement authorities to investigate vandalism at aNew Hampshire mosque as a possible hate crime.

Officials with the Islamic Society of Greater Nashua tell CAIR-MA that rocks were thrown through the windows of the mosque just after 8 p.m. this evening while worshipers were sitting inside the house of worship.

"Whenever any house of worship is attacked in this manner, law enforcement authorities should investigate a possible bias motive for the crime," said CAIR-Massachusetts Executive Director Dr. John Robbins.

Robbins noted that the crime occurred on the anniversary of the anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks and at a time of rising Islamophobia nationwide.
