Russian and Syrian Regime Warplanes Attack Cities of Aleppo, Idlib, Lattakia, Qaryatain, Targeting Opposition Fighters Friday, December 4, 2015
The following news stories are from Syria, as reported by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR): Russian warplanes target Aleppo and Idlib SOHR, December 4, 2015 Aleppo province: Russian warplanes bombarded areas of Arada village in the western countryside, Dair Jamal, A’zaz. Clashes took place after midnight between regime forces and rebels in the southern countryside amid Russian airstrikes on the area and areas of al-Zerba. Idlib province: Russian warplanes raided Saraqib and Kafar Nubol. Regime forces bombarded Jesr al-Shughour. Russian airstrikes target Lattakia countryside SOHR, December 4, 2015 Lattakia province: Reports of wounding a Saudi commander in Jabhat
al-Nusra ( Abdullah al-Mehesni) by targeting his location by Russian
warplanes in Lattakia countryside. Clashes continue between regime
forces backed by Hezbollah against rebels backed by Jabaht al-Nusra on
many fronts of al-Akrad and the Turkman mounts amid Russian airstrikes
on the mounts. More airstrikes target the city of al- Qaryatain, while clashes erupt around the oilfield of Sha’er, and explosion occur in the countryside of al- Raqqa SOHR, December 4, 2015 Homs Province: The clashes between the regime forces and allied militiamen against
IS are still taking place around al- Qaryatain city southeast of Homs,
accompanied by aerial bombardment and shelling by the regime forces on
the vicinity of the city, information about casualties on both sides.
Other clashes took place between the two sides around the oilfield of
Sha’er east of Homs, information about casualties on both sides too. Sound of explosion heard in the town of Slouk believed to be caused
by explosion of a booby-trapped motorbike on the outskirts of al-
Sharqiyyah town, no information about casualties so far. Another
explosion heard in the city of al- Raqqa, no information about the
reasons of it. Clashes continue between rebels and IS around Mare’ SOHR, December 4, 2015 Aleppo province: Clashes taking place between IS and Islamic battalions in Mare’ town, reports of losses in both side. Russian Warplanes raided the road of Ehris town leading to the death
of a man and wounded others, including serious injuries, reports of
targeting a checkpoint near Ehris town. Clashes in Homs and aerial bombardment on Idlib SOHR, December 4, 2015 Homs province: Clashes took place between IS and regime forces near Sakk Hawarin in the southern eastern countryside reports that IS took control on the area. A number of people were killed or wounded by Russian airstrikes targeted al-Qaritin. Idlib province: Russian warplanes targeted Shekh Mustafa, Ehsim, and al-Najia in Jesr al-Shoghour, leading to injuries. Russian warplanes raided an oven in Kafar Nubol. a man from Jesr al-Shughour was killed by regime’s bombardment on the city. *** “Islamic State” butchers “a Russian agent”, threatens the Russians of killing their sons in their houses and declares the start of battle on “the blessed land of al- Sham” SOHR, December 3, 2015 SOHR received a footage that shows an IS member wearing the orange
jumpsuit and saying that “my name is Khasyif Maghomid, I am Russian born
in Chechnya in 1992. I entered to Islamic State territories under the
name Haroun. I came to the caliphate land by the order of Russian
