Four US Soldiers Killed

A patrol of American occupation forces has been attacked by a roadside bomb in Babul Muadham area of central Baghdad. The bomb directly hit the patrol where four enemy soldiers were killed, two of them burnt inside the vehicle according to the news.

Iraqi Resistance Targets US Patrol

Iraqi Resistance mujahids detonated an IED targeting a patrol of the American occupation forces in al Sha'la area of northwestern Baghdad. According to the sources, the bomb went off during the passing of occupation patrol where strict security measures imposed around the scene following the blast. No details on material and human casualties were released due to security measures.

Tabiin Army Shells US Occupation Base

An element of Jihad and Change Front, Tabiin (Followers) Army claimed responsibility for shelling American occupation headquarters located in al Bakr air base with 82 mm mortars. According to the statement the target was successfully hit.

Mortars Target Joint Base in Baghdad

Mujaheeds from Iraqi Resistance Factions bombed joint base of American occupation forces and government forces last night in eastern Baghdad. According to the government security sources mortars have felt down various parts of the base formerly used as general police directorate. No more details were released on the casualties. However sources claimed that mortars yesterday hit al Baladiyat area wounding two people.

U.S. army attacked by roadside bomb in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq:

A roadside bomb went off on Wednesday targeting a U.S. convoy in central Baghdad, a security source said.

“The bomb exploded near the U.S. convoy in Bab al-Muaatham region near al-Midan square, central Baghdad,” the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

“There is no word on casualties yet, but two vehicles were destroyed in the attack,” he added.

2 civilians killed in eastern Falluja

ANBAR / Aswat al-Iraq: Two civilians were killed in two separate incidents in Falluja, a security source said on Thursday.

"Unknown gunmen opened fire on a civilian in al-Shuwersat region, central al-Karma district, eastern Falluja, killing him instantly," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

"Another civilian, working as a blacksmith, was killed by a sticky bomb in the industrial region, central al-Karma, eastern Falluja," he added.

Falluja is 60 km west of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar, which lies 110 km west of Baghdad.

Bomb explodes near pipeline carrying oil to Syria

NINEWA / Aswat al-Iraq:

An explosive charge exploded on Thursday near a pipeline carrying oil to Syria in west of Mosul, according to a security source.

"An improvised explosive device went off on Thursday morning (March 10) near a pipeline carrying oil in Ain Zala region in Zamar district, northwest of Mosul," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency, noting that the explosion damaged a nearby pipeline carrying water.

"Pumping oil to Syrian did not stop, but pumping water to a village dtopped due to the explosion."
Mosul, the capital of Ninewa, lies 405 km north of Baghdad.

4 blasts wound 13 people in Baghdad

BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq:

Thirteen people, including six policemen, were wounded on Thursday by four blasts in the Iraqi capital Baghdad, a security source said.

"A roadside bomb went off on Thursday (March 10) on the highway in al-Doura region, southern Baghdad, targeting a federal police vehicle patrol, wounding four cops," the source told Aswat al-Iraq news agency.

"Another bomb exploded this morning in al-Ghazaliya region, targeting a police patrol, injuring two policemen and damaging their car," he continued.

"An explosive charge exploded in al-Sidiya region, southern Baghdad, near a truck carrying concrete blocks," the source said, noting that two civilians were wounded in the attack.

"The fourth blast occurred in Sheikh Omar region  near the Civil Defense department, where five civilian were wounded."
