Up to date, total US casualties over 1500 soldiers and 50 helicopters and aeroplanes in Afghanistan

By Stig Forberg, Finland

-

To our knowledge, up to date, the total casualties is over 1500 US soldiers in Afghanistan, during the 505 days of war. And US has lost over 50 helicopters and aeroplanes.

Just 2 weeks ago the US lost, within 10 days: 3 helicopters + 1 cargo plane + death of several soldiers, in over 30 ambushes and missile attacks in Afghanistan , due to local Afghan mujahideen.

The US admitted only 1 lost helicopter, that near Bagram, with 4 deaths.
But, as we all know: US has almost 100% censorship about the real military casualties in Afghanistan.

Because US is rapidly losing the Afghanistan war, they have a huge hurry to start the Iraq war.

By this way, Mr. Bush tries to avoid the public anger and fury, which is inevitable, when the Afghanistan story breaks into publicity.

Russia lost 14.600 men + 100.000 injured, in Afghanistan war, during 1979 - 1990.
But: The US is now losing men MUCH MORE rapidly, than Russia, due to the much better weaponry of the local Mujahideeen, and their guerilla tactics (Attack and Vanish).
