Saddam Hussein trial

How could any one with his right mind believe that Saddam Hussein will receive a faire trial under the Iraqi law system when the judges presiding over this most important trial in history are appointed by an occupying foreign country and the judges have been sent to England for specific training to insure that the proceedings of this trial goes to their liking. Bush and Blair still believe that the world population including their own people are deaf and dumb and don't know what's happening in this world.

It is a known fact by now that Iraq was invaded under faults pretences Bush and Blaire have killed over a 100,000 Iraqi men women and children for the last 2 years for no fault of their own what so ever, they have polluted Iraq with depleted uranium for millions of years to come, let alone bombing Iraq back to the stone age. I keep on wondering as to who should be tried for crimes against humanity.?

The President of Iraq should be released

The trial against Saddam Hussein is illegal because it is a product of the war, which was illegal according to international law. International law requires that every criminal court be competent, independent and impartial. The Iraqi Special Tribunal lacks all of these qualities. It has not been established according to a valid law, but by the occupying power. It is not independent and impartial because its judges have been appointed by the Governing Council, which was set up by the US in July 2003.

That the war criminals judge the legitimate President of Iraq has nothing to do with justice for the Iraqi people. This justice can only be achieved in a free Iraq with national reconciliation on the agenda. The “trial” does not contribute to that – on the contrary.

The show trial is being used propagandistically in order to justify the bloody and illegal occupation. Saddam Hussein  and the other political prisoners in Iraq should be released at once.
