British Government must do more to help the victims of the Earthquake

Liberal Democrats Muslims Forum members extend their heart felt condolences and prayers for the relatives of the victims of the earthquake disaster in the Indian Subcontinent and to their very large number of British families over here.

During the last 48 hours, the British public, Asian and non Asian alike have pledged generous sums of money and aid for the victims of this disaster.  The British Asians expect our Government to match the generosity of the British public (as they did in previous disasters such as the Tsunami in December 2004) and make similar generous contributions to support the relief efforts in Pakistan, India and Afghanistan.

Nasser Butt, the Chair of the Liberal Democrats Muslim Forum said “We welcome the UK government’s donation of £100,000 and a 60-strong team of medics and search and rescue specialists and we understand that the government is waiting to hear of details before pledging more, however the 42,000 people who are believed to be injured need tents, blankets and medicines now. The estimated 30,000 died have left a trail of families to be looked after, the countless missing and the destruction of homes and business will have devastated communities who need urgent help.”

Nasser Butt has called on the Prime Minister to pledge its support in line with the great stature of our Country. He said, “The victims are connected to us as our families and Our Government owes it to the British Asian to pledge the support in line with its ability to help, as it has generously done in the past in similar circumstance. We hope that the government will increase the aid package and also take a lead in influencing other European and developed nations to support the relief efforts.”

A Petition to LEAVE VENEZUELA ALONE

Dear Hassan:

Would you post this petition to leave Venezuela alone. I understand that petitions do almost nothing to accomplish their stated goal, but they work well to disperse information.

***NOTE: Les Blough sent a request out to his list of "friendly editors" but it contained the wrong URL, the original one with a HUGE error. I have not yet been able to reach the people who would let me in to correct it, so I wrote another, and that's the one below.

As you may know, I want to get enough signatures on this petition to be able to print and take it with me to Venezuela on October 20. May I ask that, assuming you agree with it, that you sign, ask spouses and family members as well to sign, then send it to your lists. This petition is my evidence that there are people back here ready to fight HARD against having the US do to Venezuela what it did to Nicaragua.

Thanks for all you can do,

Leigh Saavedra

George Bush and the Four Horsemen By Mike Whitney (Al-Jazeerah, October 11, 2005)

"America’s energy future is looking even more tenuous than the economy. Oil supplies are stretched to the limit and available resources are reaching the point of diminishing returns."

Declining oil and lack of security of supplies, has doomed the US military machine. One lesson that came out of World War 2 was that modern armed forces need an unlimited supply of fuel. Tanks, trucks, aircraft and ships all consume vast amounts of fuel. It was the inability of the Germans to obtain adequate supplies that doomed their war effort. The US has taken this lesson to heart and has squirreled away huge supplies in case of war. The Pentagon will fight for oil in order that they may fight.

Bomb threat at St.Vincent's hospital, Melbourne, Australia

Another victory in the war against terror? 300 patients from St.Vincent's hospital, all residents and businesses evacuated, traffic and public transport delayed for three hours, a huge police and emergency services presence including constant helicopter surveillance.

The reason?

A discharged patient left his luggage unattended in the hospital car park. The event , which received two paragraphs on page 14 of The Herald Sun (11/10/05) prompts one question:

Who controls media reporting today?

The 'false alarm' must have been as embarrassing to our diligent protectors as the cost to the taxpayer.

Tragedy, British Style

On a walkabout a teacher asked Tony Blair if he would like to lead the class discussion on the word "tragedy." The British Prime Minister asked the class for an example of a "tragedy.

"One little boy stood up and offered, "If my best friend, who lives on a farm, is playing in the field and a tractor runs him over and kills him, that would be a tragedy."

"No," said Blair, "that would be an accident.

A little girl raised her hand: "If a school bus carrying 50 children drove over a cliff, killing everyone inside, that would be a tragedy."

"I'm afraid not," explained the PM. "That's what we would call a great loss."

The room went silent. No other children volunteered. Blair searched the room.

"Isn't there someone here who can give me an example of tragedy?"

Finally at the back of the room a small boy raised his hand. In a quiet voice he said: "If an aircraft carrying you, Mr Blair, was struck by a "friendly fire missile and blown to smithereens, that would be a tragedy".

"Fantastic!" exclaimed Blair. "That's right. And can you tell me why that would be a tragedy?"

"Well," said the small boy, "it has to be a tragedy, because it certainly wouldn't be a great loss and it probably wouldn't be an accident either."

IMC-USA expresses heart-felt condolences to the victims of the massive South-Asian earthquake

New York, NY. Indian Muslim Council-USA, an advocacy group working towards protecting and promoting the pluralist and tolerant ethos of Indian society, urges all people to offer humanitarian assistance for the victims of the earthquake in South-Asia.

IMC-USA sends its condolences to the families of the victims of the earthquake in Pakistan, India and elsewhere, and appeals to people of all faiths to pray for those suffering due to this disaster. Dr. Shaik Ubaid, the President of IMC-USA, expressed deep sorrow over this tragedy adding "We pray for the speedy recovery of all the injured and the aggrieved". He also stated, "We request all people of conscience to provide financial assistance to help in the immediate relief efforts and the subsequent rehabilitation efforts".

Although IMC-USA is not a relief organization, its office bearers and members have always been active in providing relief to victims of major disasters such as the Asian Tsunami and the US hurricaines through their local mosques and relief organizations. IMC-USA urges its supporters to continue this tradition of providing relief through the local relief organizations.

The official death toll of 850 in Jammu and Kashmir is grossly underestimated, since the toll is increasing with new reports. Hundreds of square miles of the state of have been leveled and the disaster areas are very remote. Scores of villages and towns have not been reached yet. IMC-USA urges the government of India to increase its relief efforts to the affected people.

IMC-USA welcomes the cooperation between India and Pakistan in relief efforts and hopes this will increase the trust among the two countries and help in creating lasting peace in the area.

IMC-USA also requests all Indian Americans to urge the US administration and their representatives in the US congress to be generous in helping the victims and in the rebuilding efforts.

The coming WORLD GLOBALIST GOVERNMENT: Current Issues with Hesham Tillawi

This Thursday October 13 at 8:00 PM we will have  Pamela Schuffert, founder of AMERICAN HOLOCAUST website. Her website read "The following is for our new readers who do not understand the meaning of AN AMERICANHOLOCAUST and how it could happen in America.

"This website is the product of 6 years of extensive travel and research, nationwide and worldwide, to uncover the TRUTH about the coming WORLD GLOBALIST GOVERNMENT under the UN (commonly called the NEW WORLD ORDER) and how it will be implemented in the United States of America."

Through numerous contacts, including CIA/Naval Intel and other sources, it has been confirmed personally to me that there are numerous covert "concentration camps" located across America, Canada and Alaska for the hour of martial law and the seizure of this nation for the New World Order.

Many of these camps are actual termination facilities, some equipped with gassing/crematory facilities."  It sounds crazy??  You be the judge, watch us this Thursday . To watch the show just go to www.currentissues.tv   and click on "ON Air"  its that simple.
In the second hour 9:00 PM Central we will have Rev. Ted Pike of the National Prayer Network  to speak about the " Hate Crime Bill that the ADL wants to make into Law. Criticizing Israel will be against the Law. Goodbye freedom of speech, Hello Marshal Law. Maybe Pam Schuffert is right.  Just go to www.currentissues.tv  and click on " ON AIR"

Here is a brief guide to understanding S.1145’s hidden yet supremely dangerous agenda.

This bill empowers the federal government to assume control of local hate crimes law enforcement. It establishes unity between federal and local law enforcement, thus creating the beginnings of a “police state.” This enables the Anti-Defamation League of B’nai B’rith, creator of this legislation, to enforce nationally the kind of persecution against Christians which their national executive board member, Philadelphia District Attorney Lynne Abraham, enforced locally against 11 Christians on October 10, 2004. Preaching at a gay pride rally, they were arrested for violation of ADL’s Pennsylvania hate law. Possible penalties: 47 years in prison and $90,000 fines each. Mercifully, the case against them was thrown out by a higher court.

Tune in to www.currentissues.tv for both of these interviews.

Last week's with David Duke  and Judy Andreas was the highest in the numbers of viewers for the Live and the Archived show. To see the interview with Judy and David just go to www.currentissues.tv  and click on the pictures, it as easy as that.

Current Issues broadcast Live every Thursday evening between 8-10 PM CST on channel 5, Cox Cable System in Louisiana and simulcast on the Internet at www.currentissues.tv
