Dear Dr. Hassan A. El-Najjar, Al-Jazeerah has been a complete breath of humanistic fresh air. I want to thank the (publication) for the non-biased views and fair reporting. I'm not the most intelligent man there is but I know when and how I'm being manipulated. Our country has just seen Tony Blair elected for the third time and Bushes re-election previously. I was starting to think the world had gone mad. I'm very disappointed with my countrymen. This is not what we have fought and died for across the world. I propose an introduction into fair reporting and journalism into the UK. We need to inform people of how gullible our politicians think we are. We need to address this explosion of propaganda and give people the freedom they deserve. I remain faithful in whatever sense. Please continue your good work and beliefs. Yours sincerely, Sam Parkinson, UK Editor: Dear Sam, Al-Jazeerah.info is trying to be the anti-dot for what the corporate capitalist media does. While they represent the viewpoints and policies of the ruling capitalist class, Al-Jazeerah.info attempts to scrutinize these views and policies. I am sorry.... Who am I ? I am an American woman that has sit here tonight and looked and read about this war that America is a part of, I am only one person but I can say for myself and my family that I am sorry... I am sorry for the children, the women and men I have seen in these pictures as they lay in blood as tears fall from pain... I am sorry for the abuse these American soldiers pressed upon the prisoners in these pictures how ashamed I am of these Americans ! I feel it should have been done to them just what they did to these prisoners.. There is no right way in war, war is the easy way out for man, sitting and talking it out is what God wants us to do. Not many listen to God anymore do they.... I love all mankind, am I perfect? No... But God made me and God gave me a heart that is over flowing with love, I feel the worker in Iraq, the lady that those men killed, Margaret Hassan, she seemed so loving... I don't understand this hate people have, over how one's culture should be or one's religion! We should make our own decisions. Killing is wrong, anyway you look at it! September 11th was wrong. So many died, now look ... So many more die. I know if those people who died on September 11th could speak, they would scream: Stop the killing.... I am only one, an American lady, that has always dreamed of knowing all cultures and ways. Never will that happen now! . I am a Christian woman and I know God is broken watching down at his creations... I pray each night God will heal this hate... Someday he will destroy this land, everything in it. He made for us and look what we do... Jesus will come back soon, and this hell on earth will be what it is.. I am sorry for the hate of this world, I pray for all... Della, USA ABIM President elected Committee Member of Union of NGO's of the Islamic World ABIM President, Ahmad Azam Abdul Rahman, was elected member of the Protem (Organizing) Committee of the Union of NGO’s of Islamic World, at the inaugural meeting held at Topkapi Eresin Hotel, Istanbul, Turkey on May 1, 2005. The inaugural meeting held in conjunction with the ‘International Conference on New Perspective for NGO’s of the Islamic World on a New Environment of Challenges and Change’ from April 30 to May 1, 2005. It was attended by 80 NGO leaders throughout the world among the 200 participants. The Conference voted Necmi Sadikoglu as the First Secretary General. Other leaders voted into the 20-member Protem Executive Committee include the Head of the Indonesian Humanitarian Council, Dr. Hany al Banna of the Islamic Relief and Ghulam Nabi Fai of Kashmir. Zakaria B. Abdullah Assistant Manager Global Peace Mission, Malaysia Property Business Booms in Jerusalem The most interesting thing about this article is that, the right of return for Palestinians is considered controversial and yet, look at who's buying land for possibly larger settlements! In addition, the terms relaxed and optimistic clearly do not apply to Palestinians who, continue to suffer under Israeli checkpoints, an ever more extensive land grab (remember the wall?) shootings of its children (not reported by U.S media sources) and apartheid/segregation policies which rival those of America or South Africa! Another lesson of Hypocrisy 101 and U.S Middle East Policy! Timothy Stinson Miami, Florida Property Business Booms in Jerusalem by Linda Gradstein A real estate boom in Jerusalem is just one example of a more relaxed and optimistic atmosphere in Israel after almost five years of Israeli-Palestinian conflict. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4648561
