Too much propaganda and lies

I feel at a time like this unprecedented war that people need to see real uncut news from all over the world about what is going on in their country. Too much lies and propaganda are being spread so rapidly, its a shame.

What can mankind do or pray about to God Almighty to relieve all this killing and suffering?

Is the world that bad that no one really cares?

We know that GOD sees all things, but do we really believe HE would do anything or let man destroy life itself?

Ahmahtzyah-tawakul Ghazi

Words of Wisdom...Dr. S. Hamod

Another fine journalist...Dr. Hamod tells George Bush how ... are his ideas and actions. Keep on Dr. Hamod. Let the world know what is happening to our country. Keep on...forever.

How I yearn for the likes of President Ike Eisenhower.

Keep on, Dr. Hamod...forever.

We have to keep hoping

Dear Dianne (Al-Jazeerah reader),

I keep hoping for miracles, but I guess, in the meantime, we have to keep making our own miracles by helping people realize there are some of us who see--and that others who read, but who do not write, are not alone. so that we know we are not all nuts, but that the others are asleep and, as u sadly pointed out, are going to the slaughter.

We have to keep hoping, as do the people who run aljazeerah.info and informationclearinghouse.info that we can make a difference--that all is not lost to this man and his minions in the media and in the congress. I think the vets who are being shortchanged now, the farmers in neb. and Iowa who voted for bush who are seeing their subsidies being shot to hell, the retirees in Florida who voted for bush seeing their dollars losing value each day, all of these people may wake up when it hits them--until then, they won't care about the American troops who die, are maimed, or have nervous breakdowns, or the hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and afghans who have died, and those who will die from depleted uranium and illnesses from bad water, no medicine, etc.

but we have to keep on--take each day with some appreciation for being alive and then do what we can to help others see the truth, as best we can.

we must never give up hope or belief that God is just and will intervene as time goes on, in god's time, hopefully.

sincerely,

Sam Hamod

It's Syria's Turn After Iraq by Musa Kelani

Regarding your editorial, "It's Syria's Turn After Iraq," I believe that is a false comparison.

Syria has had troops in Lebanon for 30 years. U.S. troops have been in Iraq for only 14 years (since the 1991 Gulf War). The comparison is not valid.
