Human Price of the Israeli Occupation of Palestine Mission and meaning of Al-Jazeerah Cities, localities, and tourist attractions

Terrorism, State Terrorism, and the Fox Racism I think the that this message (what terrorism really means -- Conflict Terminology) must be repeated over and over and over again until it seeps into the public consciousness. And it takes a whole lot of doing until the written word has more impact than television. Fox News two days ago referred to Arab people as "not regular people." This insane racism must stop! There is a war on Islam going on... and it is based on lies and the lies are spread in the US media. It is not so bad in England where diversity is considered an asset. I am a lot less angry and a lot more hopeful these days. I pray for the end of the war in Iraq constantly. Grace Reid, Ireland
Conflict Terminology: The Why? I propose a new term. THE WHY? Regarding Conflict Terminology, In a sporting event like Boxing we all know what the "WHY" is (Boxing). We also know what the "Terminology" is regarding blow after blow of the Fighters is. But in the Middle East the "Why" and Size of the fighting Ring are not spoken of as one event? THE WHY? The "Washington Neocons" (Zionist Leaning) were (your children) dead wrong even before this political lobby mentality was called out. The withdraw of Israeli Squatters from all Palestinian Lands will be the start of healing the Middle East Religious Conflict with Israel & other "Democratic" Dominating Powers. Ronald Douglas Kennedy CA, USA
London Bombings There is Islamic terrorism; and there is ours. What about the "shock and awe" that fell upon Baghdad? What about the flattening of Fallujah? Why doesn't CBC hold a phone-in show when entire towns in Iraq are obliterated? Where is our outrage when U.S. soldiers at a checkpoint fire on a family car, killing the parents and leaving the children orphans. With a bowl of popcorn, U.S. "soldiers" sit in front of computer screens and calmly launch missiles at houses, restaurants, and bomb shelters. With a bowl of popcorn, we sit in front of the TV and watch the fireworks. We fight to defend our freedoms; Muslims are terrorists. We spread liberty and democracy; they commit acts of barbarity. Let's do a simple body count, shall we? 3,000 in New York. 100,000+ dead in Iraq. 50 in London. No one even bothers to count the dead in Afghanistan. We wallow in self-pity, reciting the names of our dead at candlelight vigils. The foreign dead are unpronounceable and nameless. As long as we persist in the notion that some people (whites) count more than others (non-whites), we only guarantee more bloodshed. PM Blair trots our the usual tripe about the terrorists attacking our freedoms. It couldn't possibly have anything to do with Britain's role with the U.S. in the Mid-East. Our principal freedom is to inflict suffering on others without fear of retribution. We demonize any who dare to fight back. As a recent US Defence Department report pointed out, it's not our freedoms they hate, it's our foreign policy. Sincerely, Geoffrey Pounder, Canada
Public disapproval of military recruitment in the facilities of San Francisco’s public high schools, colleges, and universities. When: Monday, July 11th; noonWhere: East steps of City Hall, San FranciscoWhat: Press Conference to Submit College Not Combat Petitions for November Election
On July 11th 2005, College Not Combat activists will deliver a remarkable 15,000 signatures to the Department of Elections at San Francisco’s City Hall. These signatures, gathered by volunteers in just six weeks, represent public disapproval of military recruitment in the facilities of San Francisco’s public high schools, colleges, and universities.
With the death toll of American soldiers in Iraq almost 1800, the US military is struggling to meet its recruitment goals. Consistently falling well below its monthly quotas, military recruiters are using a number of tactics to persuade young people to join their ranks. Among these tactics is the presentation of economic incentives, used to make military service an appealing prospect to low-income youth.
Acknowledging the passing of last November’s Proposition N, in which the people of San Francisco voted by 63% to “bring the troops safely home now,” the College Not Combat petition also represents opposition to the policy that is driving the war in Iraq.
15,000 signatures will make this proposition eligible to be placed on San Francisco’s November ballot.
Speakers include:
Aimee Allison—a Green party member who is running for Oakland City Council.
Cindy Sheehan, lost her son Casey—a soldier—in Iraq in April of 2004 and is the founder of Gold Star Families for Peace.
Supervisor: Chris Daly
Ragina Johnson, campaign director of the College Not Combat campaign

The Constitution demands that the Plain Dealer Publish Below is a copy of a letter in response to an editorial in the "The Plain Dealer" that I sent on July 9, 2005 Dear Sirs, I read your declaration not to run important stories, in light of the Judith Miller case, because the stories were based on "leaked" documents. Judith Miller is an actor in two stories. The one America is presented with is a Judith Miller wrapped in a flag as a Joan of Arc for the 1st Amendment. The facts of the Plame case and Miller's involvement are unclear. But the outing of Plame by Time Incs reporters was more than a simple violation of secrecy laws (Plame, a CIA agent, hid behind a Coca Cola logo - who knows what she did or who she hurt). The Plame story was little more than a vendetta against her husband, Wilson, for not towing the war machine's line and certifying George's account of the "yellow cake" proclamation. Wilson, as you may recall was the deputy ambassador to Iraq whose boss gave Hussien the "nod" to invade Kuwait that initiated Gulf War. 1. Neither Wilson nor his wife should be sanctified as heroes. Who knows what crimes they may have participated in - but - the law is clear - it is illegal to publish names of secret police operatives. Miller's real crime is a war crime. This is not pined in the NY press (corporate media). Miller collaborated with the criminal, Chalabi, and others inside our defense establishment, to publish the lies that led to the US's criminal invasion of Iraq. Miller, by any assessment, is a war criminal. Recently, a tribunal in Ankara, Turkey, has filed a complaint listing George and other members of the US administration and defense establishment, as well as Blair (and others) as participants in crimes against humanity. Judith Miller and the NYT facilitated this illegal war by misleading the public and publishing outright lies in assets owned by Time Inc. Those lies resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and thousands of Americans. By refusing to publish information that may help defend our Constitution and bring an end to this continuing criminal conspiracy, the Plain Dealer may find itself a party to these crimes. The enemy of the state is inside our government. It is not illegal to publish "leaked" information. Participating or facilitating war crimes, even through inaction, however, is criminal. America needs real heroes. Wrapping a "tramp" like Miller in a flag as a first amendment "queen" is a diversion to hide these crimes from the American public. The Plain Dealer - if it has information that will hasten the arrest and prosecution of the criminals who control our treasury and blood - has a duty to publish. You are obligated.
