Anatomy of Racism, by Dr Habib Siddiqui

I was disappointed to read the article on January fourth, Anatomy of Racism, by Dr Habib Siddiqui. While presenting views, some of which are open to opinion, others that are factual and cannot be denied, he did not properly convey the context in which European Imperialism by its nature, added to this Darwinian concepts of 'fitness', were the cause of such extreme racist views. This overflow reached philosophical proportions in the writings of many Europeans of the eighteen century, it is true. But he only considers such sources without looking at others, which is in my opinion a failing and bias on his part. He makes a point that Europeans are innately vicious and racist; however, examples exist, though less publicised, that genocidal acts of racism and racism generally exist in all cultures and have throughout time.

Similarly, most Europeans and European colonies (I live in New Zealand), the majority of people are not at all racist, and do welcome and admire views from Asia. Whether that be philosophy or religion. They don't hold any grudges against Asians or dislike them. 'White' people are more aware of the wrongness of the history of which they find themselves a natural extension and are more willing to accept other faces and races than probably any other non-western country (my opinion). The Chinese for instance, I doubt would regard the views of Dr Habib Siddiqui as having any relevance to them, apart from a history they have long done away with. Positivism is important not dwelling in the past with an eye for abuse.

Dr Habib Siddiqui presenting questionable facts, and bias, against Europeans. He is merely in the business of throwing salt into wounds without attempting to foster any understanding and harmony among the races; sad because this is exactly what the world at this moment needs so desperately.

Finally, if the world is to be united as a whole, without preference upon any one culture or race, we need to evolve past the petty mentality of finger pointing and blame-naming, to transcend finally and reach a state of harmony which no one is excluded.

 Beware of Muslim neocons

Dear Editor,

Mr Tahir Ali's article on the above subject has drawn my attention. He said,
"What these Muslim neo-cons and Rand Robots are seeking is not reform but
intellectual and moral surrender. However, there is one important difference
between Muslim neo-cons and Rand Robots: the Muslim neo-cons do not attack
Islam or Prophet of Islam, the Rand Robots do. Remember, in the war of wits,
mind is the ultimate target but mind is also the ultimate weapon."

I have some disagreement with some part of this statement. While the
first sentence above is true, the second belies reality. The so-called
Muslim neocons that Daniel Pipes loves to mention to make his case are
mostly apostates or self-hating Muslims. See, his latest tirade: Improving Islam's Image
(http://www.bangladesh-web.com/view.php?hidDate=2005-01-04&hidType=OPT&hidRe
cord=0000000000000000031509)  where he mentions some of these neo-cons. I have been tracking statements of some of these individuals for the past few years, and have not found anything that tells me that they are Muslims any more (God knows the best). They participate with well-known Muslim-haters like Ibn Warraq in his activities to demonize Islam and its adherents. Just a look at some of the Muslim-hate websites like FaithFreedom.org and mukto-mona.com is sufficient to see their real hatred against Islam and its people. So, to say that these neo-cons don't
attack Islam or its prophet is a very wrong statement.

Many of these so-called Muslim neocons are actually fulfilling the task
of "native intellectuals" (whom I have been calling - house niggers or
cultural coolies - in some of my essays posted in the newspapers and the
Internet) in support of their imperial masters of our age. They are no
different than the Rand Robots in ideology, but are more harmful than the
latter, because of their namesake and somewhat familiarity with our people.
What every student of history knows is that it does not require too many
foot soldiers to occupy a land and rule it effectively, as long as there are
traitors like Jagat Seth, Umi Chand, Rai Durlabh and Mir Jafar that are
willing to betray the masses and work for the colonizer. Muslim neocons are
trying to fulfill that historical role. They should be identified and
shunned by our people for the harm they bring to our community. My latest
articles "Cultural Coolies Rocking the Casbah" and "Anatomy of Racism" (alJazeerah.info), throw some light on this subject.

Yes, in the war of wits, mind is the ultimate target that is what Pipes & Co. are after. It can only be an ultimate weapon in the arsenal of our folks when we can independently think and see what the messengers of hate and occupation are after, and take corrective actions that won't make us easy prey to their schemes.

Best wishes,
Habib Siddiqui

Dear Dr. Hassan El-Najjar,

My name is Dr. Sami Basha,  the spokesman for the Palestinian community in Rome and I have sent this message on behalf of our community and its President Dr. Wajih Salameh.

We will be very happy if you can support by distributing the news about it.

Best regards

Dr. Sami Basha

Editor: The announcement is in Arabic and Italian. It's about the intention of Palestinians in Italy to participate in Palestinian presidential election in a symbolic way. The objective is to attract world attention to about five million Palestinians who are still in the diaspora outside their homeland of Palestine, denied their political and national rights including voting.
