Japan should lead

Japan should use it's economic power to lead the world into space. The United States is leading the world into perpetual war. We need good leadership.

Prayers for Hariri by Lebanese Christians and Moslems in Toulouse, France

Dear Sir,

A hundred Lebanese Christians and Moslems expressed in Toulouse France this day the 19/02/2005 with the presence of French official personalities. They observed one minute of silence with a prayer for the heart of our martyr RAFIQ Al-HARIRI.

Here are some photographs of the demonstration of Toulouse. I also made an interview with the deputy Gerard Bapt, President of the Group of Friendship of the French National Assembly “France-Syria.”

*Wednesday, March 16th: Second anniversary of the murder of ISM volunteer, Rachel Corrie, by Israeli Occupation Forces in Gaza. Please join us for a celebration of her life and the struggle for self-determination for the Palestinian people. We will show a video on the illegal destruction of Palestinian homes by Israel and have a period of personal testimony by those attending on Rachel’s life. The event will be held at the New World Resource Center, 1300 N. Western Avenue, Chicago from 7PM - 8:30PM. Free admission, however, a goodwill collection will be taken to assist solidarity volunteers traveling to Palestine. *Saturday, March 19: 11AM—Feeder march for Palestine solidarity activists from the Israeli Consulate (just east of Michigan Avenue on Wacker Drive). We will gather at the Israeli Consulate and then march until we join the main protest on the 2nd Anniversary of the Invasion of Iraq. More details will be announced shortly. The feeder march is being organized by the Chicago chapters of the International Solidarity Movement and the Palestine Solidarity Group. We seek the endorsement and support of other organizations for this event.
