Israel lives in Palestine

Genevieve Cora Fraser

Jan 14, 2004

Israel lives in Palestine

Pretending to their right

All the Jews in Palestine

Are haunted by this sight

Frightened by the hidden

Thought shadowy as a lie

Trespassers on a frightened

Watch and all afraid to die

Israel washes bloody hands

In stolen Jordon water

10,000 soldiers cannot kill

The stench they leave behind

The Wall of ignorance enshrined

As might is silent as a stone

Israel built on bloody sand

Injustice’s weight is shifting

Palestine is the Center of Life

Where the door is always open

Machines of death control by fear

But the door to Peace is open

Stolen Innocence

By Nahel A. Rimawi

Jan 14, 2004

The blood and tears of the young soak this war weary land,

childhoods stolen by a Zionist hand. Brother against brother is their plan

but what they do not know is that they have created a nation of strong men.

Like a roaring thunder comes out their screams,

how can we watch them as they suffer and grieve? Their cries are still

heard in the calm of  the dead sea, their souls still roam these holy streets.

The rumble from their stomachs shakes the ground from starvation,

their only food is oppression and occupation.

Their homes are destroyed while asleep in their beds,

living they can no longer bare, their hearts fill with utter-despair.

For over fifty years they have suffered as infants to men,

only the belief in Allah will keep them from giving in.

The children of Palestine have been brutalized for over a half a century,

and the world still ignores the stolen innocence that fills the cemeteries.

Carnegie report highlights Dick Cheney's motivated role in hijacking the Bush administration

The recent Report on Iraq issued by the prestigious and independent Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Think Tank, categorically focuses on the role played by US Vice-President Cheney, single-handedly pressing intelligence agencies to come out with fabricated facts and weightage on Iraq’s threat to US and its friends --- meaning Israel. Dick Cheney’s prejudices against Arab and Muslim world cannot be underplayed or ignored. The Zionist neo-con cabal around US President Bush, had taken the whole American nation for a ride, with a confrontation with the Arab and Muslim worlds, that could have been avoided if the cabal’s hegemonist agenda had not been the sole motivation to dictate US administration to go to such lengths in inflicting war and destruction on defenseless Third World countries.

Even if the US planners may stabilize Iraq, they have succeeded in rousing serious concern among the rest of the world including the European allies, with the bottom line that unless the Zionist cabal’s stranglehold on all instruments of governance in the US administration and politics is not tackled, international peace will be a mirage.

It will be foolhardy for the neo-con cabal to assume that counter strategies all over the world will not be in high gear to plan for self-defense against the future US invasions.

Even among the people of the US, who have been lulled with the temporary euphoria over armed successes in Iraq and capture of Saddam, opposition to neo-con warmongering option to achieve US targets, is gathering momentum, and just as the President is believed to be readying to bolster his second term prospects by capturing and presenting Osama at the right moment, the opposition too seems to have been preparing to bring him down with right disclosures at the crucial time, when he could be most vulnerable.

Dear Members of the Board of CBC and Canadian Government MP's:

It has happened many times in the past that although we could receive other channels - sometimes with absolute clarity- we have been unable to get satisfactory reception of the CBC Television network when we have been away from home and had to rely on rabbit ears.

Before I say this, please take note of this fact, as it speaks to my over- all credibility and patience:

Never once did I write to Ann Landers in her entire lifetime !! Yet here I am writing to you eleven days after the latest crime, because at last I have been pushed too far and my need to speak has passed the safety valve period !! On New Year's Eve, we struggled to watch the CBC programming in Sydney, a city a few miles from Victoria the capital of BC, and we could only get a fuzzy snowy picture with scratchy sound on rabbit ears in our recreational vehicle. A quick switch to Channel 6- absolute clarity of sound and picture. But who cares about Channel 6? . Back to the snowy picture and scratchy sound for several hours of excellent programming.

I ask you rhetorically:

What is wrong with this picture !!?

PLEASE. Get with the programme. Support the CBC with some technical stuff. You government Bums. Smarten up. Are you receiving that signal clearly?

Indian Muslim Council-USA welcomes Congressional scrutiny of the condition of minorities in Gujarat.

Indian Muslim Council-USA, an advocacy group working towards safeguarding India's pluralist and tolerant ethos, welcomes the efforts of members of Congress to draw attention to the dire situation of minorities in the Indian state of Gujarat.

Dr. Shaik Ubaid, President of IMC-USA, expressed gratitude to members of US Congress who met with the victims of Gujarat genocide and spoke out against the rise of Hindutva-fascism. He further added that, "We also wish to thank the delegation members who raised these issues in their meetings with the Indian government officials and business representatives."

IMC-USA had launched a campaign to educate the delegation members on the growing persecution of minorities and Dalits in India. In meetings with delegation members and their staff, IMC-USA emphasized that the rise of Hindutva-fascism and attempts by the proponents of Hindutva to instill hatred in the coming generations of Indians does not bode well for India's secular democracy and economic prosperity. The delegation members were also made aware of media reports that have tracked the transfer of funds from the United States to Hindutva "hate groups" responsible for the recurring anti-minority violence in India.

IMC-USA expresses satisfaction that its campaign was successful and praises the efforts of the representatives of Christian, Dalit, and secular groups who were partners in this campaign.
