Palestinian Right or Return

Just thought I would mention that the UN Website has a whole page devoted to the Palestinian Right of Return and where it is mentioned in International Law.

Some of those places are:The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (10 November 1948)
* Article 13: Prohibits the Denial of the Right to Return to one's country

the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) -> 1966

the Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees (28 July 1951)

UNGA Resolution 194 (11 Dec. 1948)
UNGA Resolution 394  (14 Dec. 1950)

General Assembly resolution 3236 (XXIX)
the right of Palestinians to return to their homes and property from which they had been displaced and uprooted

Powell's Speech and Texaco in Ecuador

Part from his speech: "We do know that Saddam Hussein had the intent and the capabilities to cause great harm. We know he was a danger. and he was not only a danger to people in the free world, he was a danger to his own people. He slaughtered thousands of people, he imprisoned people,"

Bush said ------------------------------------ wow, is he really talking about Saddam ??? I'm confused. Aren't you also !!

By the way: Just watched a documentary about Ecuador - Texaco (i.e. a sub-company of it = subsidiary company) has destroyed the environment like crazy there - 30 000 people already suffering from cancer in that area - they pump oil anywhere - without any kind of regards to nature or people. A side product - liquid gas - is just burning off with out even caring - fuel that could have been used for 200 years - just the side-product to the gasoline. The ground is 30 x more salty than ocean water - no more trees - nothing ! Raped and murdered earth - lying in its death - now they want to sue Texaco for the damage - for billions - but Texaco says they are not responsible......Besides: it cannot be repaired - ever ! As everywhere worldwide: sorry, but anywhere "Americans" (companies or military) have been - they left the earth destroyed - toxic and raped. They figured, why give a damn - its not our land..... But to be fair: the own country is being mistreated as well......Greed again is the reason - and greed is the reason for nemesis (ruin) of all mankind - and most close their eyes and think about something else......

Will Bush/Blair in an way now apologise

Will Bush/Blair in an way now apologise to that doddering old codger Blix who could not find a single WMD despite the fact he searched every greenhouse and garden shed. I, of course, always believed that the Iraqis were ferrying these weapons helter-skelter around the country in carboots and old mini-buses along with all those deadly chemical and biological agents. Damned clever these foreigners. No risk at all and very easy to do. So what a surprise - nothing at all! Must have been looking in the wrong country. Should have looked in the one with the 'suspect' war-criminal PM.

And how can anyone fail to welcome the attack on the BBC. We know it supported the war effort considerably but not quite considerably enough. making little of UN, NATO, French, German, Chinese, Russian objections to our Hitleresque war - we love a jolly good old-fashioned bit of unprovoked aggression. After all only 13000 Iraqis dead and counting might make a great video called Guernica revisited. It was fun the relentless bombing of a defenceless foreign city. And how dare the buggers now resist just because the Yanks are sitting ducks? Copying the French again I suppose. Damned resistance fighters! (Sorry - gunmen).

Now Greg boy has been chopped let's rename the BBC . How about the BUSH-BLARE Corporation. Sounds great. Then there was the 9/11 incident (sorry Reichstag fire!), then the love of peace (a piece of Austria, Czech, Poland, Russia etc) (watch out Iran - forget democracy, it's gone), the concentration camps a la Guantanemo and the Wall (Mr Sharon - Tear down that wall! - sorry I meant Gorbachov).

How about a big 1930's style party - the flags are already everywhere in the US. The place is vast military machine. We just need a few good marching songs and candle-lit parades to help us experience the despair of the liberals.

The BBC perceived as an Ally of the LTTE - by Chandrika Iriyagolle

Dear Sir,

The LTTE was a creation of State Terrorism against Tamils in Sri Lanka. The first "mass murderer" was SWRDBandaranaike, followed by his wife Sirimavo, JRJayawardena and Rajiv Ghandi of India. Sirimavo in addition murdered 60,000 poorly armed sinhala youth in 1971; president Premadasa murdered some more in 1988/89. Sirimavo's daughter's husband was killed by the JVP with whom her (Chandrika Bandaranaike's) party the SLFP has recently merged to defeat the present government of Ranil Wickremasinghe. The LTTE led by Pirabaharan is the only organisation now preventing further slaughter of the Tamils.

Yours Truely,

Das Samuel

The BBC Perceived As an Ally of the LTTE by Chandrika Iriyagolle

I am a Tamil from, Sri Lanka's North. I had a chance to read an essay on your web site about Tamil Terrorism not Tamil Tigers's Terrorism. I have read hundreds of hundreds of articles and essays about conflicts, but I never saw such an essay published on your site about “Tamils Legitimate Struggle for their rights” titled as The BBC Perceived As an Ally of the LTTE . Shingales Chauvinist Dr Chandrika Iriyagolle wrote every thing opposite to the Truth, Justice and Humanity. As an Arab, you know the pain of chauvinism and oppression, which is done by Israel for Palestinians for more than five decades. Same story happens in Sri Lanka, Majority Shingales oppress the minority Tamil.

Whole world support current peace process, but Singalese leaders are still not ready to accept Tamils as part of the nation or them as a human beings, this is the story for five decades in Sri Lanka.

My aspiration is as a news media, you are supposed to provide Truth and bring the Justice to the light, which is your duty too.

You may check some sources to check our struggle for rights and also killings and massacres done by Singales military machine and Singales mobs of Tamils for past 50 years in Sri Lanka, also why Tamil took weapons in their hands.

From this, I believe you will check the credibility of a news first before you allow it to be posted on your website.

"Fight for Justice and Die for it."

Thank you,

Pirasanna,

An oppressed one and Against oppression on this earth.

"The BBC Perceived As an Ally of the LTTE"

Dear Editor:

Al Jazeerah has published the above opinion by a Sinhalese writer, the journalistic standard of which begs question. "mass murderer and convicted killer Prabakaran," is someone diplomats of most countries except India and US are now regularly meeting in NorthEast of Sri Lanka.
