Dear Sirs,

Thank you for providing this forum for discussion. I would like to

respond to Tariq Al-Maeena's article entitled

"Israel in charge of U.S. military dictatorship".

First, I am saddened by the fact that it would even be considered that

Israel has control of our military might. Certainly, we do support

Israel's right to statehood, but we only want peace in the region. It

is our view that the Israelis have been persecuted for centuries, and

only deserve a place to live, free from attack. Just as everyone else

does. Although we have given our support to Israel, please consider our

reasoning, before passing judgment. We feel that it is possible to live

side by side, without the threat of war. Consider that although we may

call the Hammas "terrorists", our country has taken no direct action

against them. They are yet to present a threat to our homeland. If the

Israelis were truly in control of our military, the battle would be

over. We do not want to attack the Palestinians, they have a right to

live free as well. The answer is in compromise.

If the Israelis were to withdraw their forces, would there be no further

attacks? This is a battle drawn on religious lines. It saddens me that

there is not enough religion in the world to create peace, only enough

to create war. Are we not all praying to the same God, only calling Him

by different names? There are too many interpretations of The Word. We

should put religion aside as a means of determining right and wrong.

There will NEVER be agreement on this point. What we should focus on,

is what is right for the individual populations.

Consider this: why is Jerusalem holy to both religions? All that we are

doing is interpreting things differently, when the end result is the

same. By the way, "The Zionists" are NOT in charge of America. Reason

is. Although there are zealots in this country, they are definitely in

the minority. International lines should NOT be drawn on religious

lines. Everyone should be free to practice whatever religion they

believe in, in the privacy of their home or church. Leave it there!

There is NO right or wrong, no one living knows the truth.

I wish you peace,

Brett Cazzell

The Bush and Blair administrations virtually shouted out to the world that weapons of mass destruction were virtually a hair trigger away from detonation. Satellite maps, photos, and other material were used to scare their respective governments into military action. The United Nations was treated like second-grade diplomats. Nations, around the world, were told that only through direct confrontation and pre-emptive action would the world be a safe place. Well after countless thousands of dead Iraqi soldiers, civilians, as well as soldiers from America and Great Britain the truth is being told. No weapons of mass destruction have been found! The inspectors, also treated badly, were right all along.

The Bush and Blair Administrations lied to their own people and the world. Pre-Emptive slaughter of innocent young children and women tell no lies. Chaos in Iraq is the result
of empty words by empty leaders. It saddens me to think that both America and Great Britain have become nation's of sheep.

By using fear and destructive imperialistic power the world is on shaky ground today.
All the worst has happened and yet both governments and their minions tell the people that it really was not about weapons of mass destruction but about bringing democracy to the middle east.

When will the respective people in both nations realize that they have been had by their un-intelligent services and their governments? The media is suspect in both countries because of the fear of reprisal by both leaders. In truth the world is safe and in lies the future bodes ill for the inhabitants of this beautiful planet.

Al Jazeerah.info was the honest broker in all this. The New York Times and Washington Post marched in lock step while breathless news reporters from England and America brought fear and insanity to the eyes and ears of the viewers.

One day, not too far into the future I hope, Bush and Blair will be faint memory as the nations awaken to the truth and run them out of town.  They may leave but the haunting eyes of that young boy with no arms will live in my memory forever. No prostetics will hide the shame of the lack of truth that caused his trauma and sadness.

Long live the good people in all nations around the globe and down with Imperial Terror.

Let Peace return to our lives. Salam, Shalom

Sincerely,
Leon W. Fainstadt

You are no different than the ones you claim are causing the problem.

I rarely see pictures or articles on your website other than the "so-called injustices" against the Palestinians / Arab viewpoint.  there is always two sides to any issue.

you think you might be enlightening some, but you are also infuriating others.

Time to take ownership and quit blaming America and its policies

Editor: Al-Jazeerah.info has never claimed that it provides the Israeli occupation viewpoint. If you want that viewpoint, it is in the established media. This is a small effort to acquaint people, including supporters of Israel, with some of what is happening to the victims of the Israeli occupation, which is usually not covered by the pro-Israel media.

I don't know what do you mean by taking ownership. Are you suggesting that Palestinians accept the Israeli occupation? It is so sad that you don't consider the Israeli occupation of Palestine as injustice. When people are killed, injured, detained, or their houses are demolished for no reasons other than collective punishment and subjugation, isn't that injustice?

Top breaking story:  Bush begs Saddam to come out of hiding & take back Iraq!

Standing against the historic backdrop of Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary, George Bush issued the following statements to the press today:

"We are now requesting that Saddam Hussein come out of hiding, put the Genie back in the bottle and take back Iraq.  Oh, and while you're at it, Saddam, please take back Afghanistan too."

Looking patriotically sincere, Bush informed the American public, "When I ordered this war, all I wanted to do was bomb women and children and steal oil.  And now I'm stuck with 30 million angry Arabs.  That sucks.

"I thought owning Iraq was going to be a fun thing -- like owning the Texas Rangers.  How was I to know it was going to be this much trouble?"

How indeed?  You might have asked someone who knew what they were doing....

From my district's City Council member Maudelle Shirek:    Education, the economy, health care, infrastructure decay:  This is not just a war on a far-off place.  This is a war on our own people as well.

From Nuc News:  And where is George Bush getting money for military spending?  Social Security will lose $1.4 trillion from the Social Security Trust Fund to pay for the military through 2013.  Will there be a Social Security fund for those who will no longer be able to work because of
disabilities or age?  Maybe not.

"This robbery of the retirement benefits of working people will produce a crisis by 2016, when expenses will begin to exceed revenues according to the Social Security trustees.  If new funding is not secured, Social Security will be exhausted by 2038." [ISR]
