Human Price of the Israeli Occupation of Palestine Israeli daily aggression on the Palestinian people Mission and meaning of Al-Jazeerah Cities, localities, and tourist attractions

Thanks for telling the truth to us! It's very sad that the American Media has been totally co-opted by the Republican Party and the Christian Right. All we hear from them are the usual stereotypes that come out of the sick mind of Ann Coulter. I am appalled that the Zionist government of Israel wants to wall off all the Palestinian territories. What angers me more is the total support they get from the Republican Party. This is the same Republican Party that gave Ronald Reagan standing ovation after ovation when he called on Gorbachev to tear down the Berlin Wall. I would like to know why the Berlin Wall is so wrong, yet those Same Republicans applaud a wall segregating Palestinian from Jew. Oh, why bother to even ask, since the Republicans have rounded up thousands of Arabs in American and locked them away indefinitely under the "Patriot Act"... JOE BACON, Los Angeles, CA, USA
I am completely on your side, I am strongly against the war, strongly against Bush, and strongly believe that Palestinians are the rightful owners of the land. Yet I feel frustrated because I do nothing about it. I am neither Muslim nor am I from the Middle East. I am a Mexican living in Houston, Texas. Please, is there anything I can do to help? Thank you, Avo Editor: You can do a lot to help the Palestinian people, Israel, and the US. Teach people around you about the injustice and oppression the Israelis commit against the Palestinians. Get politically active. Help elect politicians who work for the US, not for Sharon. Promote peace, so the US can restore peaceful relations with the world and Israel can live in peace with its neighbors. You can do a lot more, I'm sure.
US policy on Palestine is the primary source of anti-American sentiment in Middle East CI welcomes former President Jimmy Carter's bold and balanced remarks on December 1 at the meeting of the Geneva Initiative on Palestine where he has become the first prominent American public figure to link US policy on Palestine as being “a primary source of anti-American sentiment throughout the Middle East and a major incentive for terrorist activity.” He also rightly criticised the Bush Administration for its tilt towards Israel adding that “the well-being of the Palestinian people has been ignored or relegated to secondary importance.” We at CI feel the time has come for the American people and their political and opinion leaders to come to terms with this reality that Mr. Carter has so courageously enunciated. It is a sad reflection that an otherwise vibrant democracy like the United States muffles such dissenting voices both within its political system as well as within its media. The international community, particularly the Muslim World, would wholeheartedly endorse what the former American President, who is also a Nobel Laureate, has said in Geneva. We hope the US administration will sit up and listen to what he had said and reverse wrongs in US flawed policy on Palestine in its own interest and that of its people as well as the prospects of peace in the Middle East.
