Olmert Admits Possession of Nuclear Weapons: A Call to Action

By Hassan El-Najjar

Al-Jazeerah, December 12, 2006

The Israeli occupation government prime minister, Ehud Olmert, did a favor to humanity (may be the only one in his life) yesterday by implicating the Israeli occupation government of possessing nuclear weapons, the first time an Israeli prime minister admits that in the history of the Zionist state. However, his statements were full of lies and propaganda, which warranted the following corrections.

First, Iranian leaders never said to want to wipe Israel off the map, like Olmert is claiming here. The Iranian President said if Europeans persecuted Jews, then they should have established Israel in Europe, not in the Middle East. If Europeans like Israelis so much, then they should remove Israel to Europe. But the Zionist propaganda twisted the Iranian President's statements above. By repeating the lie so many times and by even the prime minister, some people may believe it.

Second, a major Zionist propaganda is claiming Israel as a democracy. How can it be a democracy while half of the population (the Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip) do not have Israeli citizenship or any political rights though they are under Israeli control since 1967? They do not vote in any Israeli elections! About five million more Palestinians are in the Diaspora all over the world, forced out of their own homeland, without Israeli citizenship or any political rights. Anyone who says Israel is a democracy is either insane or a hypocrite. In the case of Olmert, he just repeats the Zionist lie.

Third, the biggest lie of today's Olmert statements was claiming that Israel has not threatened other countries!!!

Well, Israeli Zionists launched wars to control Arab territories in 1948, 1956, 1967, 1978, and 1982. They devastated the entire Middle East for more than half a century. They have been driving Palestinians from their homeland, killing and injuring them, and detaining them in the occupation prisons since 1948, particularly during the first and the second intifadhas.

Now a word for politicians in the US-EU governments.

What else do you need to stand up against the Zionist threat to humanity? Israelis and their supporters dragged you to the Iraq war disaster in order to destroy an Arab state standing in the face of their aggression. The Israeli Zionist state should be placed under instant military embargo and economic sanctions until it withdraws from the occupied Arab territories, allowing Palestinians to establish their own state, and giving Syria and Lebanon their territories back.

To continue threats to Iran and Syria and to continue your embargo and sanctions against the Palestinian people prove that the US-EU governments are controlled by the Zionist state, which is the real threat not only to the Middle East but also to the world peace.

The Olmert statement is your golden opportunity to free yourselves of the Zionist tyranny.

Israeli Prime Minister, Olmert, admits that Israel has nuclear weapons

Date: 12 / 12 / 2006 Time: 11:41

Ma'an -

Last night, speaking on German TV, Israeli occupation government Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, whilst attempting to warn of the threat posed by Iran's nuclear weapons proliferation, admitted the Zionist state has nuclear weapons.

He claimed that Israel had not threatened, "any nation with annihilation," whereas Iran had threatened to wipe Israel off the map. He proceeded this comment with, "Can you say that this is the same level, when they [Iran] are aspiring to have nuclear weapons, as America, France, Israel, Russia?"

Olmert continued, "Israel is a democracy, Israel doesn't threaten any country with anything, never did. The most that we tried to get for ourselves is to try to live without terror."

He also told the SAT1 television station, that Iran is, "aspiring to have nuclear weapons as America, France, Israel, Russia." Tacitly admitting that Israel does in fact have nuclear weapons.

However, Israeli officials hold that these statements are no admission that Israel is holding nuclear weapons and that this does not affect the nation's policy of ambiguity on the issue.

Israel has refused to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and is widely believed to have nuclear weapons. In 1986, an Israeli former nuclear technician, Mordechai Vanunu, revealed to the British press Israel's nuclear weapons programme and spent 18 years in prison. Following his release in 2004, he has been under local arrest in Jerusalem and has been forbidden from leaving the city. After this new revelation, perhaps Vanunu can expect to be released from local detention.
